3) Principal Accountabilities
Inventory Management
â Analyze past buying trends, sales records, price, and quality of merchandise to determine value and yield.
â Analysis of stocks available in the warehouse;
â Replenishment of goods in the warehouse and stores;
â Tracking the high demand merchandise and ensuring that those goods are properly sourced and available on demand;
â Transferring the goods not sold in one store to another if the demand is higher at another store;
Price Point Analysis
â Suggesting the right price points for various goods after the analysis of various goods and the margins needed;
â Collecting market information from buyer;
â Overall analysis of market trends and sales data to buy right kind of goods;
MIS Reporting â
Analysis of MIS reports generated from the ERP system understand the user trends and demands in various stores and cities;
â Updating the merchandiser about the current trends;
Range & Width planning
â Collecting information on the non-selling goods;
â Demand estimation;
â Understanding the product usage pattern and suggest product mix refinement;
â Product profitability analysis;
â Collect Consumer feedback from shop floor people;
Store Visits
â Visits stores to understand the customer perceptions
â Ensure Merchandise is displayed as per standards
â Check Proper Planogram is implemented.
â Identify reasons for shrinkages, and check for proper product handling at stores.

Merchandiser with extensive experience in Home Furnishing retail preferred.
