Position Summary:
Unitus's Advisory Services group provides advisory services to address the critical non-financial needs of microfinance institutions (MFIs). Our partners are experiencing high growth and all the challenges that come along with it. We are already providing valuable support though consulting services focused on Strategy, Operations, Technology and Recruiting and are now seeking to address another critical challenge that many MFIs face: Human Resources management.
We seek a dynamic and passionate team player to work with other members of the Advisory Services team in helping MFIs tackle their Human Resources challenges effectively.
This position will report to the Director of Consulting within the Advisory Services group.
Specific responsibilities include the following:
Analyze the HR needs of MFIs and recommend/implement solutions to meet these needs
Independently prepare deliverables such as: needs assessments, strategic HR roadmaps and advisory consulting
Research, document and inform the Unitus team and our partner network about important developments in HR relevant to MFIs
Play the role of an interim HR Director at an MFI
In partnership with other Unitus team members, design, develop and market innovative products and services to meet the HR needs of MFIs
Manage one or more specialists delivering HR and/or recruiting services to MFIs
Manage strategic partnerships with vendors of HR services such as training and compensation design
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum 7+ years professional consulting experience (including creating and owning deliverables), with a focus on organizational design, selection, performance management, employee development and/or related areas
Advanced consulting skills, including listening, diagnosis, presentation, coaching and project management
Well versed in Human Resources management issues and techniques
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
Passion for Unitus's mission to bring innovative solutions to global poverty
International business experience or experience with finance institutions is preferred
Ability to travelâup to 30% (including outside India)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
